What happens in a life coaching session?

Life coaching is about helping a person to reflect and gain personal insight into their own situation. As a life coach I am an objective listener and I ask challenging, pertinent and insightful questions. I don’t tell you what to do, I empower you to make your own well thought out decisions. In the sessions we look at what you want to achieve, what might be stopping you; you then decide what actions you need to take in order to achieve your desired goal.

What if I don’t know what I want?

Many people don’t know what it is they want, they just feel unfulfilled and sometimes stuck. Life coaching gives you the opportunity to really think about your situation and often the clarity comes from this. The beauty of having life coaching sessions is that you have a dedicated hourly session which is all about you. You Choose U and spend some time thinking about you.

What I love about coaching is when I see the ‘light bulb moment’ happen with a client. When a person suddenly knows what it is they want and I can then help them to explore this. I can help them create their own plan moving towards this.

What if it doesn’t work?

When you decide to have some coaching you are acknowledging that you want to sort out something in your life. By making that decision it is already working. Many clients come to me just one or two times because they realise they actually have all the answers. By coming to a coach you are taking responsibility for your own happiness and you are deciding to make changes.

Being perfectly honest, if a person feels it ‘doesn’t work’ for them, this is usually because they have the wrong expectations and want me to wave a magic wand and make things happen for them.

This is why I offer a free consultation to explain how it works and what commitment is expected from them.

How much will it cost me?

This is completely dependent on the individual as we are all different. Each session is £65 and usually a client feels ready to move forward and follow a plan after 3-6 sessions. They might then book the odd extra session sporadically; to ensure they are sticking to their plan.
